Last weekend we went for a short break at Langkawi. Here are some food experiences.
1)Pantai Tengah - Little China Seafood Restaurant
The food is generally okay. I guess the cook should be a Thai. The Thai style steamed fish was so tasty. However, we were a bit suspicious about the price, as the bill came, it comes to RM50/= for the fish. As it was written in the menu, red snapper is RM7/100GM, however, we were doubtful the fish weight 700gm, it's acutally kind of small ....ANYWAY, this always happen in tourist destination. We didn't ask them to double check, but already decided not to give them business in near future due to their dishonesty.
" Fried Rice"
" Fried Dong Fun"
" Thai Style Steamed Fish" - authentic style , taste good!
2)Kuah Town - May Yi Restaurant
Ambience : 2/5
" Fu Yong Egg"
"3 tastes Fish"
"Gong Po Mantis Prawn"
3)Since "The Loaf" is originated from Langkawi, we purposely paid a visit to their outlet at Perdana Quay.
Ambience is excellent.Of course, the U hu hu taste great as well! The only drawback is the service - terribly bad, with a non-smiling waitress with no expression.

4) Last but not least - Fat Mum Seafood - Pantai Tengah
You can find a lot of restaurants along Pantai Tengah. However, but accident, we found Fat Mum Homecook/ loca cuisine. The signboard is not very big, and the restaurant is located a bit inside, not facing the main road.
The restaurant was crowded and we decided to give a try. By curiosity, we found out the "Fat Mum" is the only cook. And obviously, "Fat Dad" is running front service to take order etc, with a few foreign workers helping around.
" Fat Mum Special Steamed Fish - rating 2/5 - a bit too garlicky
" Mantis Prawn"
" Prawn Fried Egg"
" Ginger & Spring Union Chicken"
" Fried Rice" - taste good - highly recommended
