The day we arrived at Nanjing, our host brought us to Hong Xin for a nice and indeed scrumptious dinner. The Chinese will always order lots of food when they serve their guests, in fact, we felt quite bad coz lot of extra food was wasted!
Check out the food we ate...
The BBQ prawns was marinated and topped with the really hot and spicy Sichuan sauce, hmm...yummy yummy!!!
Then we ordered the pan fried bun and dumpling! I love the pan fried bun, with really tender pau skin and delicious ingredients!
Our host recommended this local Nanjing vegetable for us, according to her, this is a type of wild vege, taste a bit bitter when you started chewing it, but slowly get more refreshing...I quite like it!
Another dish I love was the stir fry beef slice with chilies, thin sliced beef was melted nicely in my mouth!! Love it!
The aromatic smoked fish was something special, nice nice!!
Our host also recommended this pumpkin soup, which looked quite thick, but it's not that bad though!
Other food we ate was Yang Chou Fried Rice, Lemon Chicken
And the nicely decorated mushroom dish
If you were to eat these in Malaysia including beer and other drinks, I am sure in a comparatively posh restaurant, it will definitely pay through your nose. However, Nanjing is comparative cheaper than other main stream cities in China. The total damage for 4 pax for this scrumptious meal was merely RMB 300! Worthy!
