Peking Pan Mee@ Medan Ipoh Bistari

Few months back I passed by this pan mee shop during lunch time, it was super crowded, wanted to try for a long time, to try and verify the quality of the food here. Overall, the food was satisfactory!

I ordered chili pan mee, just to compare with the PAN MEE shop at station 18. The chili pan mee here at Peking Pan Mee is more spicy and pan mee texture is more bouncy, I quite like it! I would say this is better than the one at Station 18!

Sis ordered the fish head pan mee

And mum ordered a clear soup pan mee

This is definitely a place for nice pan mee, texture was bouncy!! Lovely meal we had. Hmm, just that the service or attitude of the waitress/ boss ( I am not sure) are quite lousy...haha. Anyway, for the good food, I will re-visit again, as it is still within my bearable zone.
This shop is same row with Akamomiji's Japanese Food at Medan Ipoh Bistari.

Lite Desire@De Garden, Ipoh

Friends told us that food at Lite Desire is cooked without MSG, the food is more like home cook style. Another friend who is a vegetarian said that they have vegetarian menu at Lite Desire, he highly recommended me to check this place out.
Located at level 1 in De Garden, this is not located at a strategic location, it is above PappaRich, and opposite Bohemia boutique.

We ordered one pot of ginkgo tea and another pot of lotus Logan tea. The lotus Logan tea was really great, naturally sweetened, whereas ginkgo tea was normal only. They have other variety of flower tea here as well.

Currently they have limited menu like nasi lemak, fried noodles etc, as well as the vegetarian version. We ordered a few dishes with rice, these are not in the menu yet, but recommended by the owner.
Assam fish fillet@RM13.90 - too bland, we don't like it, maybe it's because they try to use more natural ingredients....that's why

Butter prawn@16.90 was so so only, as the prawns was not that fresh.

Luckily the beef stir fried with broccoli and cauliflower@RM13.90 saves our day!!!

Overall, I feel the food we had that day was so so only, perhaps I'll check out other things next time. Anyway, I quite confirmed that the food is without MSG, or less MSG. Could be a healthier option of food, perhaps?....

Purple Cane@Osborne Street, Ipoh

Purple Cane has relocated to the old Fu San Dim Sum building. The ambiance is really great, a nice place...check this out!!!

The food is quite "light" and healthy. According to the manager, the tea shop cum restaurant emphasizes on low sugar, salt and less oil, with better quality ingredient.
We ordered one golden beancurd with green tea saute@ RM8.80, one of the nice finger food that is nice together with a nice cup of tea.

Another nice finger food is the Sweet Potato balls@RM5.80

We also like the fried fish fillet with Long Zhen tea@RM12.80

We also order Lei Cha fried noodle set@RM16.80 come with acar pickles and steamed peanuts

Not to forget to order the caramel pudding for dessert! I didn't snap the photo, but it was really tasty!!!

In fact the place is more like a lifestyle dining place, which we enjoy the ambiance, and my friends commented that food was good, but nothing too special to shout about! But I love the caramel pudding and sweet potato balls a lot!
Prices are rather high, as they charge 10% service charge.
