Hokkaido Japanese Cuisine@Medan Ipoh Bistari

The 2-day old Hokkaida Japanese restaurant opened for business on 28th June, how can foodie like me miss the bandwagon of trying it! Wow, this area itself has got so many Japanese resturant now. To name a few Mokuren , Kizuna, Akamomiji and now Hokkaido!!! Among all these, I used to love Mokuren, but now, I am adding Hokkaido into my fav list as well!!!! Haha....the service was rather slow, and not very organized, perhaps is due to its newly opened, and quite crowded even on weekday! Anyway, I really hope that they can keep up the standard of food and improve on service quality, then it will be a great place to dine! Overall ambience is cool for dining.

Ying Ker Lou Hakka Cuisine@ Gardens Mall

We were there for brunch, thought of trying something different. In fact, the exterior of the shop looks nice and attracts me everytime we pass by the restaurant.
Having rather high expectation for some authentic Hakka cuisine, we were not that happy with the overall service and food quality.

He ordered Lei Cha with brown rice - so so only...nothing much to shout about!

I ordered hand made Hakka Pan Mee - quite ok, but not that outstanding as compared to other hawker stall one.

I don't think I will go back again....

Jo-Jo's@ Queenstreet Mall, Brisbane

On our last night in Brisbane, we were wondering around Queenstreet Mall area, and finally ended up at Jo-Jo's for dinner. A corner lot located on 1st floor, with balcony seating, Jo-Jo's look like a happening place! Taking the escalator up to 1st floor, the place already packed with people, and we were told that we have to wait for 20 mins. Jo-Jo's concept is more or less like our local food court, whereby you can opt for many different kind of food here...of course, it looks more decent than most of our food court here( nevertheless, prices are not like our food court one....ahem).
We order half dozen of oyster, fresh, but not tip-top, at least not as good as the one we had in Gold Coast last time.

Then, a Margarita pizza with tomato, mozzarella cheese and basil. Simple and nice!!

The two hungry ghost also ordered a plate of spaghetti and one Thai style Chili chicken and vege, with basil, super duper spicy but authentic!!

With a good spread of different menu of food and drinks, Jo-Jo's is indeed a good choice for you if you are in search of good and reasonably price food around Queenstreet Mall area in Brisbane.
